Steven Chamblee, Horticulturist of Chandor Gardens, will present "Monarchs to Mexico" at 5:30pm and "Peace, Love & Milagros: Life Lessons from the Road" at 6:45pm. Monarchs to Mexico: an inspiring program about Steven’s trips to Monterrey, Mexico to assist in developing the children’s garden at Collegio Nezaldi, a small elementary school on the Monarch migration route.  Chamblee stresses the importance of gardening and environmental education not only as a means of aiding the Monarch butterfly, but as a grassroots effort to develop a love for nature in children on both sides of the border.  Peace, Love and Milagros: Life Lessons from the Road: During his 30-plus years road-tripping around Texas, Chamblee has collected great stories about horticultural heavens, botanical blunders, and tender tales that will melt your heart. Heeding the advice of a close friend, Chamblee has brought his favorite stories together for a very personal presentation of inspiration, enlightenment, and humor.
